Coolabaroo Neighbourhood Centre (CNC) is a purpose-built education and care centre, catering to children aged between 8 weeks – 12 years, providing multifunctional childhood education and care services.
Coolabaroo Neighbourhood Centre (CNC) – Early Childhood Education and Care
CNC was formed in April 1986 and was the first service within the City of Gosnells to provide education and care predominantly to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. The Centre was initially funded through mainstream childcare funding in 1986. Within a year, Coolabaroo Neighbourhood Centre became funded under a Budget Based Funding facility (BBF) and we are now funded through the transitioning of Budget Based services to Government Child Care Subsidy.
Non‑Aboriginal children and families are accepted into the service, dependent on community demand for the service and priority of care of access.
